Well, I spent a good chunk of Valentine’s Day working on a song arrangement I had started a while back. The original song name is “Hartmann’s Youkai Girl,” the theme song for the EX boss of Touhou Subterranean Animism, Koishi Komeiji. Since I tried to make it sound a bit more hardcore than usual, I’ve decided to name it “Heartcore’s Youkai Girl.” Please have a listen.
While playing around in Reason, I tried composing something such that it used the same pattern at each time scale, kind of similar to a fractal. What I did was to use a basic pattern: C-E-A-G, and then repeating it at twice the tempo and slightly shifted in time. Using this basic idea, I ended up with a slightly strange song…

It really has been quite some time since the last update; I had gotten busy and was unable to update this site. Unfortunately, I’ve decided to put off the Miku version of Mag Mell until I get some time to properly learn the software. However, I have been working on other songs. I’ve created two songs for EvoSpace’s doujin group Black Sheep Symphony, to be used in their TYPE-MOON inspired doujin shooting game, and you can listen to one of them while playing the second stage of the downloadable demo.
